Width : 12.82 mm & 12.68 mm. Accent Stone : Abalone shell, turquoise, red coral, and onyx inlay. Abalone shell: 5.34 & 6.14 mm long, 3.52 mm & 3.7 mm wide, opaque, iridescent purple, blue, pink, and brown hues. Turquoise : 3.56 mm to 3.79 mm long, 2.07 mm to 2.19 mm wide, opaque bright blue hue. Red coral: 1.75 mm to 1.98 mm diameter, opaque red hue. Onyx: 3.75 mm & 12.68 mm long, 1.81 mm to 3.95 wide, opaque black hue. Stone Treatment: The stone(s) appear to be untreated, but we are not certified gemologists.

Stone(s) have been tested and guaranteed using a professional Presidium Duo refractive, heat, and hardness tester. Stone Cuts : Carved and polished inlay. Length: 1.27 (including backings). Width: 0.61" and 0.62".

These earrings were handmade by a talented Zuni artisan in the 1960s. Composed of 14k yellow gold filled over base metal. Each earring features a large oval mother of pearl stone with inlaid turquoise, red coral, and abalone shell stones. These stones form the motif of a bird, leaves, and berries. The mother of pearl, with its lustrous white hue, contrasts beautifully with the bright hue of the turquoise. Finished with posts, one bullet backing, and one butterfly backing for secure wear on pierced ears. The entire stone is loose in one of the earrings, and easily falls out; this can be repaired by your local jeweler for secure wear. The price of this item has been reduced to reflect this.
